Our Background

OneLine Engineering, which was co-founded by Edgar Morriss and Randy Cressman, is an engineering company specializing in the design of electrical power systems. The co-founders understood from their past experience and relationships with customers in the power industry that there was a lack of engineering firms specializing in the detailed design of protection and control systems for high voltage substations, transmission and industrial electrical power generation and utilization. The ability and experience to provide this specialized service constituted the foundations of OneLine Engineering.

The roots of OneLine Engineering go back to 2005 when Edgar and Randy teamed up to provide engineering services to EPTCON Ltd, a high voltage construction contractor, for several design build substation projects. The successes of these challenging projects lead to the founding and incorporation of OneLine Engineering in June of 2006.

Since its inception, OneLine Engineering has never stopped growing. Our list of successfully completed projects in North America also continues to grow. Teaming with EPTCON Ltd we have completed many EPC projects including very challenging substation upgrade projects, and large substation greenfield projects for utilities and renewable energy power producers. Most of our EPC projects included the supply of fully integrated E-Houses and protection relay panels, all of which were designed and built in-house by our EPC team.

A further indication of the confidence that the power industry has in our company, we are proud to say that our client list includes large utilities such as Ontario Power Generation, Hydro One-Sault Ste. Marie, NextEra Energy, Canadian Niagara Power (Fortis Ontario), and many large contractors including EPTCON and PowerTel.

OneLine Engineering’s policy is to strive for excellence in everything we undertake. A long list of repeat customers is evidence of our commitment to providing them with the best quality service, expertise and products in the power industry.

Finally, as a team of dedicated and enthusiastic engineers, technologists, designers and support staff we look forward to further growth and success in the future.
